we always used to say lifes to short to be in a hole but you never did bust into your funkiest stroll. i love you rob. you looked after me mate, you helped me buy my first drum kit ha ha and the last night i saw you i made you polish it for me so i could sell it. thank you for coming to see me that last week mate not that it made it any easier or made any sense. i found an old letter you wrote me for my seventeenth birthday and you signed it in stupid writing so i thought id get a stupid rob tattoo you would laugh at. take care my friend hopefully ill see you soon

It's been a little while now and it's been too difficult to leave a message here. Selfish perhaps, I'd like to pretend this never happened. To be honest it still feels like a wind-up that Rob would happily have set up himself. He'll turn up and say 'heh, heh, got ya. Can't believe you fell for it.' I'm going to miss the daft bugger. I'm going to miss my friend. Even my mum remembers him as a happy child, with a smile that never changed since playgroup. Safe travels Rob, hope you find the words which there are none for here.
